Summer Symphony

“I am honoured to be taking over from Hilary Davan Wetton as Principal Conductor of Milton Keynes City Orchestra. Hilary is an inspirational founder and for 33 years has been the driving force behind the Orchestra. As Conductor Emeritus, Hilary will continue to be a very important part of our team and will always be immensely welcome to conduct the Orchestra. One of the most thrilling things about Milton Keynes City Orchestra is the extraordinarily high calibre of these professional musicians in the Orchestra. I am delighted to feature some of the Orchestra’s members as soloists: horn player Richard Wainwright, performing in Britten’s Serenade for tenor horn and strings; and later in the season Diana Cummings and Gerard Le Feuvre perform together in Beethoven’s Triple Concerto. It is a thrill and a challenge for me to work with Milton Keynes City Orchestra and I look forward to our music making together!”
